Essential Proprioception for Healthy Posture, Movement, and Presence

The workshop offers an experiential overview of body awareness cues that facilitate support, fluidity, spaciousness, and presence. Exploratory work with the topics below moves us toward embodied understanding of comfortable* posture and movement.

  • Grounding through feet and pelvis

  • Finding support through spatial intention

  • Midline

  • Partnership of thighs and pelvis

  • Integration of arms, shoulder girdle and spine

  • Breathing and tongue posture

  • Head and neck alignment.

A practical class for somatic educators and body workers as well as for non-professionals seeking self-help.

Because the webinar format limits personal interactions, I’m adding two small group sessions for workshop participants. These meetings offer opportunities to

  • ask the questions that arise after you’ve spent time exploring the workshop material.

  • explore additional ways to activate new posture and movement.

  • fine-tune your body awareness through one-on-one time with Mary.

Tutorial classes are limited to 16 participants.
